Parkinson's Awareness: A Hope for a Cure!
Dr. George Ackerman (Sharon’s son) is from Brooklyn, N.Y. Now residing in Florida, he works in the fields of law, police, and education. George lost his mother, Sharon Riff Ackerman on 1/1/2020 due to Parkinson’s Disease. George wanted to honor his mother and continue to help in the Parkinson’s awareness cause and did not know how to bring change.
We started TogetherForSharon® as a family for the purpose of keeping my mother, Sharon Riff Ackerman’s, memory alive and to share the message of Parkinson’s Awareness and hope for a cure. Today, togetherforsharon.com reaches thousands of individuals across the country for PD Awareness. George currently interviews individuals throughout the Parkinson’s community including various foundations, caregivers, and Parkinson’s warriors to help share their stories and causes.
Within this episode, "Parkinson's Awareness: A Hope for a Cure," I have the special honor to interview my guest, Dr. George Ackerman who lost his mother, Sharon, to Parkinson's Disease on January 1, 2020. In honor of her memory and to spread awareness about Parkinson's, his family established TogetherForSharon®. His mission is to keep Sharon's memory alive while advocating for Parkinson's awareness and supporting efforts towards finding a cure. Today, his platform, togetherforsharon.com, reaches thousands of individuals across the country, spreading hope and knowledge about Parkinson's Disease.

SHINING LIGHT ON SERVICE & MILITARY CHILDREN!
Staff Sgt. Shena R. Veale is an Active Duty U.S. Army Soldier and currently serves as a Signal School Instructor. During her 25-year Army career, she has led mentorship programs for young soldiers and continues to participate on committees for community professionals. In addition to her military service, Shena is dedicated to a life of volunteer service and to support. She is the Volunteer Service Coordinator for Operation Teammate, a non-profit that supports military children. Shena’s dedication to the betterment of our military community spreads across our great nation and abroad.

EMBRACING YOUR INNER LIGHT!
Jim Holbein is a trade lawyer with decades of experience in trade negotiating, dispute settlement, and import compliance. He has become an expert on digital assets and decentralized autonomous organizations (DAOs) during the last three years. He has worked as a federal executive, diplomat, author, teacher, negotiator, and many other roles. Jim has also been studying religious and spiritual texts regularly for the last 60 years. His mother was a Christian Scientist who inspired him to study spiritual science. He obtained a BA in Religious Studies at the University of California at Santa Barbara and has regularly practiced meditation since then. His influences include Dr. Deepak Chopra, Dr. Sue Morter, Dr. Wayne Dyer Jr., The Science of Mind by Ernest Holmes, The Way of Mastery, A Course in Miracles, and many other sources that have inspired his practice.

SURVIVORS: Healing Trauma!
Since the pandemic, the world is on fire with events that are altering and challenging humanity at a rapid pace. Also, women’s rights and recognitions are reversing very quickly without knowing where the future is heading. With that said, more people today have developed depression, such as Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and other mental health conditions.
Within this episode, “Survivors: Healing Trauma,” my returning guest and friend, Ashleah Hudson of (Mystical Awakenings with Ashleah) and I will be discussing the concept on how to heal from trauma, while giving a spiritual perspective on it. On January 10, 2024, my dear friend, brother-in-spirit, and guest, Joe Kirby passed away from a long battle with cancer. He was always filled with much laughter, love, peace, hope, and lived his life to the fullest with his beloved wife, Rae Kirby, his son, Alex, and his mother, Mrs. Rose. Plus, you couldn't get away from his mischievous jokes and positive attitude, which always uplifted everyone in his presence. Joe, may you rest in peace. Blessings with love and light-Serene Grace
